Patient & Carer Day is an annual event which is organised by Mesothelioma UK. This year’s event took place ‘virtually’ due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic on Friday 1st October 2021.
SWASAG hosted the event at St Mellion Resort Hotel in Saltash providing a very informative day for those affiliated to both our Plymouth and Truro groups who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma and their loved ones.
The event is a chance for those suffering from mesothelioma and their families to listen to inspiring talks from several different speakers updating on the latest news and report on what is happening within the Mesothelioma world.
Nigel Shaddick a sufferer of Mesothelioma gave an inspiring and very informative interview about his experience of being on a clinical trial and an insight into his journey with mesothelioma.
The event was brought to a close by Liz Darlinson MBE (Head of Services for Mesothelioma UK) . The day finished around 3.30pm another very rewarding day.
