A wonderful day was had at Armed Forces Day 2022 on Plymouth Hoe on Saturday 25th June. Between dodging the torrential downpours the sun shone with lots of people showing support for all our dedicated service men and women. We had lots of people to come and talk to us about Mesothelioma and other asbestos related illnesses. Christine Jones our amazing Mesothelioma UK Nurse was on hand to answer any medical questions.
We held an amazing raffle of hampers kindly donated by our supporters along with the annual guess the name of the build a bear competition, 2 very happy children winning the nurse and soldier bear at the end of the day.
The trustees had a busy day meeting so many people who took an interest in SWASAG and what we are about. Huge thanks to Andrew Walker Partner at Hugh James Solicitors who joined us on the day helping to raise the much needed awareness of mesothelioma and asbestos related illnesses.
